The Location

The Ridgway Retreat is located in Elk Meadow Estates due to its proximity to Ridgway, solitude, and BEAUTY! While you feel that you are in the middle of a mountain wilderness, you are just 15 minutes from a small grocery store, emergency services and multiple restaurants that will please even the most discerning foodie. It is off the beaten path yet easily accessible with a safe drive with scenic views without dangerous exposure.

The BEAUTY of the Ridgway Retreat is truly breathtaking. With nearly 300 days of sunshine and no other homes in your sight line, you can enjoy a unique view of where the Cimmaron and San Juan Mountain ranges meet. And you can see this magnificent view from all but one room in this beautifully, well-appointed, and luxurious 3400 sq. foot home! It isn’t just picturesque during the day. Still, it offers an unparalleled night sky view, as Ridgway is a designated Dark Sky Community by the International Dark-Sky Association. It was the third community in Colorado to be given this unique honor due to its lack of light pollution, which allows night skies to be viewed in great detail.  

The House

Speaking of luxury and well-appointed, this home is a traveler’s dream, situated on a 5-acre lot. It has all the luxuries of home. From the linens to the appliances, no expense was spared. The lodging is perfect for multiple families, large families, and group vacations, as it sleeps (13) people in beds. The retreat has four separate bedrooms, two of which can comfortably sleep (4-5) people. Each room has a full bathroom and its in-floor radiant heating. There is an oversized garage that fits two cars and plenty of parking for additional vehicles in the driveway.

The Bedrooms

The main bedroom boasts a king-size bed, desk, walk-in closet, shower with dual shower heads, and large outdoor deck. The guest room has a queen bed and a private bathroom. The basement has a king bed, bunk beds, a walk-in closet, a private bathroom, and a deck. It also has a sitting area with a game table and a TV area with a comfortable couch. The loft has two (2) built-in queen beds with a twin pull-out. It has a private bathroom and privacy dividers. It has a game table and a separate seating area with a spectacular view of the mountains, perfect for a sunrise view with a cup of coffee.

There are limitless ways to configure guests so that everyone’s needs are met.
